About the Event
Join alt folk artist and Dublin City Arts Office Artist in Residence, Lewis Barfoot, at the Wood Quay Amphitheatre for Culture Night Dublin. Lewis works with an uncomplicated loveliness of sound, blending ethereal, evocative vocals with original compositions and reinventions of traditional songs from across Ireland and the UK.
Her debut album, Glenaphuca has received great support from RTÉ 1, FRUK, BBC Radio and RTÉ na Gaeltacht. Tonight Lewis will be joined by guest musicians Aisling Bridgeman on violin and Eva Coyle on accordion and vocals. Expect exquisite harmonies and gently uplifting melodies to warm your heart and sooth your soul. “A Terrific Debut” – FATEA. “Balm For The Soul” – Lillian Smith, RTÉ1. “Barfoot’s voice, deft guitar-work and perceptive songs blend magically to create an album to curl up with and be thankful for” – Jackie Hayden, HOTPRESS.
